About Convofair '09

The university's academic programmes are geared to the development of technical competencies balanced with an understanding of, and an ability to communicate with, the world within which these competencies will be applied.

CONVOFAIR is an annual event that is held in conjunction with the Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). The purpose of this event is to attract the UTP and surrounding community to come together in celebration of the yearly event.

Convofair 2009 is organized by a committee consisting of representatives from UTP’s Students Support Services Department and the Students Representative Council (SRCUTP 2008/2009).

In the 2009 Convofair installment, there will be two stages of organized events, namely under the banner Pre-Convofair and Convofair 2009. Pre-Convofair events will run through beginning July until the week before the August 2009 Convocation.

The events will fall into any one of these three categories:

• Social and Humanities
• Games and Competition
• Culture and Entertainment
